As an on the go mom, it can be difficult to find the time to make a balanced, healthy breakfast for my family. But after some time, I finally found the perfect recipe for an on the go breakfast that both my kids and I love to eat.
In this video I want to share with you how to make the easiest power oatmeal. It’s a really balanced meal and great for parents and kids alike, plus it only takes three minutes! Let’s get started.
The Recipe (0:15)
All we’re going to need is a single packet of instant oatmeal. I used an organic, gluten-free option, but choose whatever you like best. Go ahead and rip it open, pour it into your bowl. Then, we need 2/3 cup of water (not hot). I like to use water because if you use milk or something like that it might spoil, this won’t. Then we’re going to pop it into the microwave for 65 seconds.
(0:43) Now all we’re going to do is add one scoop of this Orgain protein powder. This is going to yield 11 grams of protein, pop it in. Then I like to use hemp hearts. This is a single-serve packet. It just adds a little extra protein. The protein’s going to help you feel full all throughout the day.
Now you just need to mix it up. After its mixed together, it’s ready to go into our pouch. I like to use any of these squeeze pouches, they’re for kids. It holds about six ounces of contents. So there you have it. Really easy, really simple. All you need to do is open the pouch up and the oatmeal will come out and squeeze right into your mouth.
Nutritional Information (1:45)
This entire breakfast has 325 calories, 38 grams of carbs, 26 grams of protein, 20 grams of fat, and only 100 milligrams of sodium, and nine grams of fiber.
(2:20) Now that you have your oatmeal, you’re ready to go. Grab a snack, like a banana, just in case you stay out all day, and you’re set. Thanks for following along!
