When it comes to working out and toning up, developing good looking abs is usually top of mind, at least for most people. Building a solid foundation with proper form and control, while strengthening your core muscles is key to building those washboard-like abs you always wanted.
But, there’s definitely more to abs than meets the eye. Just doing a million crunches a day will not get the job done right (in fact, that could cause some major injury and create more muscle imbalance). Additionally, a lot of ab exercises can actually cause more harm than good. Ab exercises, more than any other, need to be done with progression…meaning, you start with laying the foundation with certain exercises, and progress over time to more advanced exercises as you develop more core strength. Furthermore, to develop a strong, good looking core; doing the right AB exercises with proper technique in the correct sequence will get you closer to seeing and feeling those results. Additionally, and equally important, proper nutrition and cardio play an big role in helping to diminish belly fat surrounding these muscles…helping you achieve the sculpted look you are wanting.
I get asked this all the time: “What’s the best way to work my abs?” – so, I thought a short video would be best to help get you started, and show you how to perform a little sequence with proper technique. I would not say these are particularly easy for a beginner, but if you have some experience in performing ab exercises, try out this sequence and let me know what you think, by leaving your feedback in the comments section below!
